Welcome to Dynamic AJAX. Learn how to create highly interactive websites with the XmlHttpRequest object.
What is AJAX?
AJAX - or Asynchronous JavaScript and XML - is a new term coined for a set of technologies that has existed for many years.  AJAX is a big buzz word in the technology world right now.  It's recent popularity is due in part because of sites like Google Maps and Google Suggest, although these are certainly not the first sites to make use of AJAX technologies.

Is Firefox 2 better than Firefox 3?
Is Firefox 2 better than Firefox 3?

On my main work computer I decided to upgrade to Firefox 3. I’m regretting it. Plugings aren’t working, websties are crashing. When I installed the beta of Firefox 2 years ago I was amazed. It was such a huge improvement from everyting else out there.

Firefox 3 is letting me down and I’m starting to wonder what was ever wrong with Firefox 2 and if it would have been a bad thing to get stuck in those days like the IE 6 era.

Now I’m wondering if Opera is the new way? Opera is an amazing polished browser that doesn’t get any credit, but the fact that mouse gestures come installed default makes me love it instantly. The scrolling is so smooth too. Safaris got nothing on it for Visual layout.
The Default RSS reader? Second to none in my opinion.

So what is Opera missing? A community of add-on developers that are creating the next greatest tools. If you built a Firebug for Opera, that would be my browser of choice.
